This painting study explored aspects of the "self" and the concepts of self identity. By painting text on canvas, each imperfection exposes personal flaws and distinct personality traits. The chosen font, color and background are all symbols of personal taste and each characteristic of the painting reveals the creator's ideas of creativity, composition, and aesthetic theory.
