A weatherproof structure with a cushioned interior equipped with a locking door was built for individual use. The structure was used to study social and psychological development within the context of a confined space. The structure was first exhibited inside a gallery with a monitor scrolling endless self words self help, self-love, self-destruct, self-pity, self-wisdom, self-control, etc. The structure was then exhibited without the words in an urban environment. The public was invited to interact with the structure and explore the feeling of locking yourself inside. While enclosed, a viewer became both a self induced specimen and an isolated observer.
